Celebrating the 2026 KloudConnect Innovation Award Recipients

Each year at KloudConnect, we award customers who don’t just deploy our platform, they push it further, then come back and share what they learned. The KloudConnect Innovation Awards recognize organizations that tackled complex challenges, made bold decisions, and created value across our entire community.

This year’s five recipients represent the diversity of our network: utilities integrating legacy infrastructure, gas operations enhancing safety-critical workflows, scheduling teams upgrading mission-critical systems, and public sector organizations improving cross-departmental efficiency. We were proud to recognize these customers in Tampa for their achievements.

City of Tempe
Single Face of Work® Innovation Award · Accepted by Jason Smith, Public Works Technical Services Manager

When Tempe’s legacy vendor discontinued their system, the team had less than a year to implement a replacement. With no time for a phased approach, the team managed to execute what typically takes organizations 18-36 months in under six. In that window, Tempe unified Enterprise Asset Management and Field Service Management across water, wastewater, public works, and traffic infrastructure, migrating all data and transitioning field crews to fully digital workflows.

El Paso Electric
FSM Innovation Award · Accepted by Lizeth Navia-Schmenk, Senior IT Project Manager and Mario Hernandez, Manager, Customer Field Services

Serving 460,000 customers across 10,000 square miles in West Texas and Southern New Mexico, replaced its legacy field service platform and middleware and modernized workflows across more than 10 departments in a single transition. Auto-scheduling enabled the retirement of two positions, paper processes were eliminated, and technicians gained device flexibility through a mobile app.

DTE Energy
FSM Innovation Award · Accepted by Samantha Raupp, Principal Supervisor for Gas Operations, Leak Management, and Elicia Kenyon, Supervisor, Gas Leak Management

Serving 1.3 million gas customers across Michigan, implemented KloudGin to modernize Gas Leak Survey operations, a safety-critical and compliance-driven workflow. Offline functionality ensures productivity without connectivity, a unified system replaces the previous two-app process, and emergency surveys can now be initiated by drawing on a map. Technician workflows have been streamlined, supervisors have greater visibility, and safety standards are upheld.

Puget Sound Energy
CWM Innovation Award · Accepted by Amber Ricketts, Supervisor, Gas Work Planning

Serving 1.1 million electric and 790,000 natural gas customers across 10 counties, Puget Sound Energy was utilizing a complex pre-construction process that was held together by an outdated interface, disconnected tools, and manual spreadsheets. They replaced that fragmented system with a unified construction work management platform  that now supports more than 10,000 projects a year across six business groups.

ENSTAR Natural Gas
Single Face of Work® Innovation Award · Accepted by Rylee Wolkoff, Engineering Services Dispatcher

ENSTAR delivers natural gas to more than half of Alaska’s population, across 25 communities and some of the most remote terrain in North America. When they came to KloudGin, they had two goals: replace a legacy mobile workforce platform and establish asset management capabilities covering both vertical and linear assets. With a lean team, Rylee and the ENSTAR team did both simultaneously, creating a unified view of work across departments while maintaining hundreds of daily tickets without disruption.

Congratulations to Our 2026 Recipients

What connects these five organizations isn’t the size of their deployments or the industry they operate in, it’s the mindset they brought to the work. They maximized their investments, found creative solutions to real operational challenges, and were generous in sharing their lessons learned with other users. Their commitment to innovation makes the whole KloudGin community stronger. Congratulations to the City of Tempe, El Paso Electric, DTE Energy, Puget Sound Energy, and ENSTAR Natural Gas.
