City of Pasadena

Located just north of Los Angeles, the City of Pasadena is home to approximately 141,000 residents and provides a full range of municipal services, including utility operations through the Pasadena Water and Power (PWP) Department. PWP owns and operates both a municipal water public utility and electric public utility, serving customers across a 26-square-mile area in Los Angeles County.

PWP’s Water System delivers high-quality water to nearly 38,000 households through an extensive network that includes a groundwater treatment plant, booster pump stations, active wells, pressure regulating stations, storage reservoirs, more than 520 miles of pipelines, 8,000 valves, and 4,100 backflow prevention devices.
